“I was able to help our regular patient who tested positive with COVID-19. He didn’t go to the pharmacy but he talked to me over the phone. He was so depressed, sad, devastated, and losing hope. He had underlying conditions too. I just listened to him crying, although in my heart I’m crying too. I tried my best to console him, tried to make him laugh which he did, and I told him I will include him on my daily prayers which he said that’s what he needed most and he appreciated it and is thankful. 

My everyday fear is that I might one day get the virus too. Everyday is a struggle for all of us at the pharmacy but we try to be optimistic and just make sure we are following the guidelines like wearing masks, gloves, washing hands, consistently cleaning the pharmacy and [following social] distancing. The management was helpful too, they provided us with masks, gloves, sanitizers, cleaning stuff, and a temperature check before clocking in.

I know this is a trying time for us but we will get through this in time, we just need to follow the safety guidelines, stay healthy, try to be positive, and keep praying. No one ever said that there’s an easy way, but we will get through this with a little prayer and a smile ? ❤️”
