PTCB is pleased to welcome Deeb Eid, PharmD, RPh, to our staff as Executive Resident for one year, effective June 29. Deeb works closely with PTCB’s Strategic Alliances Department under its Director, Miriam Mobley Smith, PharmD, FASHP. He is involved in advancing PTCB's State Associate Program, Advocate Educator, and Advocate Employer Programs, assisting with PTCB's relations with State Boards of Pharmacy, and supporting the work of each PTCB department.
Deeb graduated from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in May. His final-year rotations included a one-month internship for PTCB during 2015. “Being part of PTCB last year gave me a chance to see pharmacy from a new perspective, and realize how important it is to continue to push the profession forward. I hope the well-rounded opportunity I now have as PTCB’s Executive Resident will help me to be a leader in future initiatives for the profession.”
Deeb previously worked as a pharmacy technician and intern at Kroger Pharmacy for 6 years and at two different inpatient hospitals for 2 years. “After working alongside many pharmacy technicians," he says, "I realize first-hand the vital role they play in pharmacy.”
